Microsoft YouthSpark Advocacy

Microsoft YouthSpark is an initiative by Microsoft Citizenship to empower youths around the globe with 30+ programs provided by Microsoft at zero cost.
The hardest set of people who tend to be uncontrollable are the youths. They actually don’t think a single bit about their future and are the leaders of tomorrow who actually can discover hidden potentials in them with a little bit of tweaking.
As a YouthSpark Advocate, your goal is to empower youths around your community using social media and other communication mediums on how they can change themselves for the better. The best part of being an Advocate is that you being a youth, you know all the problems youths face in your community and how to tackle them. You organize online chat groups and live chat sessions using social media networks and organize public lectures, trainings and workshops to unleash the hidden potentials in youths around you.
Some youths want to be Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Programmers and e.t.c. but with the lack of necessary action and couching to them, they end up hating their jobs in the nearby future.
That is why Microsoft acted before the problem gets worse by creating a program that offers free Microsoft tools to youths around the globe freely.
Being a Microsoft YouthSpark Advocate, i have learn a lot, meet people i might not have meet in my life and the best part is inspiring youths using the little knowledge i know.

“If you can change a single life in a positive way, you have truly made a difference.” – Unknown

I’m glad to have unleashed the hidden potentials in many youths after my presentations, chats and meetups. Someone once said to me after a meetup:

“I never know why i was in computer science until i came to your meetup.”

Its been a great feeling since then that at least i have changed a life for the better.
I’m always proud to be a Microsoft YouthSpark Advocate and yes we can change the world to a better place.
